ANIA GATEWOOD, ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY


Ania Gatewood, Esq. joined Jarvis Law, PLLC as an Associate Attorney after being drawn to their client- focused approach, unparalleled legal services and exceptional dedication to every client. Ania was born and raised in Concord, NC. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Justice Studies from Winston-Salem State University, graduating with honors, and her Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University School of Law.

While attending Winston-Salem State University, she worked as a research assistant aiding in the compilation of information centered on the study of Juvenile Justice, as well as interned in the area of Conflict Resolution/Mediation. Ania became a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, the Community Standards & Civility Council, and several other organizations.

While attending North Carolina Central School of Law, she became a member of the Black Law Students Association. Ania gained valuable experience while serving as a North Carolina Bar Certified Legal Intern at NCCU’s Family Law Clinic, as well as interning with the North Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence and the Attorney General’s Office at the North Carolina Department of Justice.

Ania pursued a career in family law after witnessing first-hand the impact of divorce on the entire family unit. Her zeal and dedication for helping people who are facing life-changing situations are extremely important when building trust with her clients. Each situation can be emotionally devastating, potentially clouding judgment in determining the next steps. Ania believes every client deserves the opportunity to have someone in their corner who can ensure the outcome of their case is equitable, not just equal.

Ania’s well-rounded experience in Family Law, Domestic Violence, and Dispute Resolution allows her to be a beacon of guidance and a tenacious advocate while representing her client’s interests. Ania states, “I am an active listener, detail-oriented, and pride myself on compassion and effective communication.” As a result, she is intentional in keeping her clients abreast of what is happening throughout their case as she works diligently to protect their best interests.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, reading mystery novels, baking and traveling, with aspirations of visiting all 50 states and 7 continents.
